Sukkot 2025

I would never have imagined our lives coming full circle this Sukkot. The Feast of Tabernacles has proved to be INCREDIBLY special in my life. I have been drawn into deeper levels of intimacy for the past 18 years. Lupe and I were married under a tent on Sukkot in 2007. This was by no means intentional on our part as we knew nothing about it, however, since 2017, The Lord had been teaching me little by little, the significance and importance of what this feast means to Him. Several years ago, He took me to Israel and this is where the realization of how special this feast is struck me like a bolt of lightning. I was sitting with a beautiful Orthodox Jewish family, celebrating Sukkot and the Lord shared about His marriage supper of the Lamb, which I do believe will occur at some point in the future in that season. It is simply such a blessed time of year.
This Sukkot, Lupe and I would find ourselves flying with our four children to Washington D.C., a desire we've both had for such a long time, but the budget simply did not allow it, until the Lord Jesus made a miraculous way! We then conquered the DC Metro as a family and embarked on one of the most special adventures our family has ever had together. My children walked further than ever before- mile after mile- with zero complaining. We contributed to 72 hours of continuous worship on the National Mall, hosting the presence of the Living God across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Israel, and the First Nations. David's Tent, which I had the honor of serving in also continued its 10 year plus streak of 24/7 worship. From the moment we took our first steps on the National Mall I immediately felt a rush of God's presence. He is indescribable. He is perfect and so very beautiful. I got to witness my youngest daughter, Anika, take hold of new beats and new sounds and release them into the atmosphere with freedom, power, and zeal! Oh how I love her worship to the Lord! I love her heart. She did not stop and helped carry the worship when others were growing tired. This is the zeal that burns in the next generation. It is so precious and so very holy. I also got to witness my oldest daughter, Sophia lead worship in the Gen Z tent. Every song was so powerful and the Lord was so pleased! My sons, Royce and Titus helped however they could and sang with Lupe and I. I was so grateful for Lupe who for the first time, picked up the guitar and worshipped unashamedly in public. His sweet, simple, pure worship before the Lord releases such a beautiful incense to the Lord. Worshipping with my family is my MOST favorite. What we practice in our living room, we were able to release into America from the capital of the nation! What an honor.
Lupe and I rededicated our family in baptismal waters about seven years ago, just before we left Santa Fe, New Mexico to follow the leading of the Lord to uproot and move to Dallas, Texas. This rededication was no small matter. We nearly lost it all just a few brutal years earlier. Our marriage had become so broken through various hidden sins that destroy the very fabric of intimacy, love, and covenant. BUT GOD. He did that which seemed impossible through two imperfect, but yielded people who decided fighting for their family and each other was worth it. For Lupe and I to baptize others on the National Mall was one of the greatest honors I have had. The hearts were so pure and so hungry for the Lord. Each one repented, some received deliverance, some inner healing, some leaned into greater intimacy with their Creator. HOLY HOLY HOLY moments, even the one young woman we accidentally dinged into the side of the water trough. Lives FOREVER transformed.
Our New Mexico Tent was so beautifully decorated as a Sukkah, a tent which is to be dwelt within for the duration of the seven day feast. I felt led to get a variety of sunset colored roses for the tent. The first day was pink, peach, and orange. The second day was red and yellow for New Mexico. A friend of mine said those colors meant INHERITANCE. Another friend spoke about them symbolizing fire. "FRESH FIRE" was the theme of the week in worship for me. This theme has carried over and many words are being released regarding this fresh fire. "I feel the fire of God on the wind."
Even so, Come Lord Jesus, Come!
